Trust1 is a technology startup specializing in building apps on Shopify – the world’s leading e-commerce platform. We build SaaS products that serve thousands of merchants worldwide, helping them grow revenue and manage their online stores more effectively.

- TrustShop: Product Reviews – A product review app that helps merchants collect and showcase customer reviews to boost conversion rates.
- WaSend: WhatsApp Marketing – An automated WhatsApp marketing solution that helps merchants engage customers and drive sales.
2. Job Description
- Develop, maintain, and optimize backend features for our Shopify apps using Laravel and PostgreSQL.
- Design and build REST APIs that serve the frontend (ReactJS + Shopify Polaris) and integrate webhooks with Shopify, WhatsApp Business API, and other third-party services.
- Write unit tests and ensure code quality through peer code review.
- Collaborate with Frontend, QA, and Product teams to analyze requirements, propose technical solutions, and ship new features.
- Participate in production incident handling (debugging, performance tuning) and ensure product uptime.
- Contribute ideas to improve development processes and system architecture together with the engineering team.
3. Requirements
General requirements:
- College or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 6 months to 1 year of backend development experience (including internship, personal projects, or full-time work).
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation in English.
Must-have technical skills:
- Solid PHP fundamentals and hands-on experience with the Laravel framework (Eloquent, Migration, Queue, Job, Service Container, etc.).
- Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL (MySQL is acceptable).
- Understanding and application of OOP, MVC, and RESTful API principles.
- Proficient with Git in a team setting (branching, pull requests, code review).
Nice to have:
- Prior experience building Shopify apps, working with the Shopify API, or other international SaaS platforms.
- Knowledge of ReactJS, Shopify Polaris, or prior frontend development experience.
- Experience with message queues (Redis Queue, RabbitMQ), cron jobs, or webhook handling.
- Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, or deploying applications on cloud platforms (AWS, DigitalOcean, GCP, etc.).
