2. Role Overview

As a Product Marketer at Trust1, you will own the entire journey of bringing our products to Shopify merchants globally – from optimizing app listings on the Shopify App Store, producing content, running email and in-app campaigns, to partnering with agencies, influencers, and managing paid ad channels. You will work closely with the Founder, Product, and Engineering teams to turn every new feature into a growth opportunity for installs and revenue.

3. Job Description

Shopify App Store Optimization (ASO):

  • Optimize app listings on the Shopify App Store: title, tagline, description, keywords, screenshots, feature image, and demo video to increase impressions and conversion rates.
  • Conduct competitor analysis (top apps in the same category), keyword research, and propose improvements to boost ranking on the Shopify App Store.
  • Monitor and optimize rating, reviews, and response rate; collaborate with the CS team to improve customer experience.

Content Marketing & SEO:

  • Plan and produce English-language content: blog posts, landing pages, help center articles, case studies, and video tutorials for TrustShop and WaSend.
  • Conduct keyword research, optimize on-page SEO, monitor organic traffic, and propose strategies to improve Google rankings.
  • Coordinate with freelancers/agencies for translation, copywriting, and video production; manage output quality and deadlines.

Email Marketing & In-app Onboarding:

  • Design and operate email marketing automation: welcome series, onboarding, retention, win-back, and feature announcement campaigns.
  • Partner with Product to build in-app messages, tooltips, and onboarding flows that increase activation rate and reduce churn.
  • Run A/B tests on subject lines, content, and CTAs; report open rate, CTR, and conversion.

Paid Ads & Partnerships:

  • Plan and run paid ad campaigns (Google Ads, Facebook/Meta Ads, LinkedIn) to drive installs and trial-to-paid conversion.
  • Identify, negotiate, and manage partnerships: Shopify agencies, e-commerce influencers, affiliates, and marketplace listings (G2, Capterra, Product Hunt, etc.).
  • Track CAC, LTV, and ROAS by channel and optimize the marketing budget allocation.

Reporting & Collaboration:

  • Deliver periodic (weekly/monthly) reports on marketing KPIs and propose next actions to the Founder.
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, and CS to communicate the right product value to merchants.

4. Requirements

General requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Economics, English, Communications, or a related field.
  • 1 – 3 years of marketing experience for SaaS products, apps (mobile/web), or e-commerce (B2B/B2C).
  • Strong English communication skills: able to write content/emails and work directly with international merchants/partners.

Must-have skills:

  • Hands-on experience with at least 2 of the following 4 areas: ASO/SEO, Content Marketing, Email Marketing, or Paid Ads.
  • Proficient with marketing tools: Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs/SEMrush, Mailchimp/Klaviyo/HubSpot (or equivalent), Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads.
  • Data-driven mindset: comfortable reading and analyzing key metrics (CTR, CVR, CAC, LTV, ROAS, retention).
  • Ability to write clear English content that aligns with the tone and voice of an international SaaS brand.

Nice to have:

  • Prior marketing experience for Shopify apps, WordPress plugins, Chrome extensions, or other SaaS products targeting international merchants/sellers.
  • Understanding of the Shopify ecosystem: App Store, Shopify Plus, Partner Program, and merchant communities (Reddit r/shopify, Shopify Community, etc.).
  • Experience working with KOLs/influencers in e-commerce or publishing on Product Hunt, G2, Capterra.
  • Familiar with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, etc.) to accelerate content production.

  • Creative, with a sharp eye on marketing trends and SMB merchant behavior.
  • Strong multitasking ability – able to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously and meet deadlines.
